Lately, I've been walking around one of my finest sources of scenic inspiration, Lily Lake, at
Chenango Valley State Park. The lake is one of two kettle lakes formed when a glacier melted eons ago. I'm taking bazillions of reference photos,(thank God for digital cameras) hoping to collect enough reference photos to use as I design and draw a dozen new drawings for my 2013 Calendar- A Walk around Lily Lake. Here's my drawing of the Tween Lakes picnic pavilion that overlooks Lily Lake. It has electrical outlets if you ever decide on a whim to have a pancake breakfast picnic- just BYOB- bring your own batter, as well as an electric fry pan.
